The Newton Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public garden. We cultivate multiple garden landscapes to enrich, inspire, and educate, as well as provide a space to decompress. The garden is a natural place to slow down and open your senses. A place to celebrate the beauty of plants, watch pollinators at work, hear waterfalls flowing, identify birdsong, feel the sun and the wind, a place to breathe in the fragrance of the flowers.

For groups of 10 or more, please let the office know when you plan to visit. This includes schools, churches, assisted living outings, self-directed group tours, etc. You will be providing us with useful attendance information and help us avoid potential event, rental, and/or tour conflicts. Please call (641) 791-3021 to speak to the office manager.

For the best experience, we recommend sun protection, comfortable shoes, and a reusable water bottle (a bottle filler fountain is located on the grounds).

*There are no public restrooms available on the Arboretum grounds. However, WEST of the parking lot, across the frontage road is a city park restroom.
*The Arboretum trails are subject to seasonal weather conditions including: snow, ice, leaf litter, etc.

ADMISSION to the Arboretum & Gardens is FREE . . .
