WHAT IS A COMMUNITY IN NATURE?

It’s simply an interacting group, living together in a shared habitat, relying on each other for survival:
- A forest – trees, birds, squirrels, shade plants, insects
- A rotting log – fungi, bacteria, insects
- A garden – flowers, pollinators, worms, sunlight
Each of these is its own unique community. Communities in nature provide support, identity, and structure to each other.
Our human community is interwoven with these natural communities. Getting back into NATURE reminds us we are part of something larger. Every ecosystem is a lesson in cooperation, every cycle an expression of renewal, and every species holds a wisdom that complements our own.
